In 2024, Bill Lloyd’s step-father passed away. What followed wasn’t just grief. It was an avalanche of logistics: legal documents, financial accounts, insurance claims, property decisions, benefit deadlines. Bill found himself helping his mother sort through all of it, with no guide and no plan.

His background in AI and enterprise consulting gave him tools most people don’t have. He built systems to manage the process. And then he realized: most people facing these moments have nothing. They’re googling at 2am, missing deadlines they didn’t know existed, and carrying the weight of not knowing what to do next.

He called Scott Leandro, his longtime colleague from their years in tech and consulting. Scott came from a family that had operated long-term care facilities his entire life. He’d seen the same problem from the other side: families arriving overwhelmed, with no roadmap, making decisions under pressure that they didn’t fully understand.

The conversation was short. The need was obvious. Gaite was born.
